Tri-Cities Restaurants

BoneFish

Located on Gage Boulevard, Bonefish is a sister company of the Outback Steakhouse Corporation. They serve mostly seafood as their name suggests. I do think they have one steak on the menu.

I've had the chance to sample most of their menu. The Chilean Sea Bass is excellent. The Bang Band Shrimp and the Mussels are also note worthy.

Outback Steakhouse

Where do I begin? If I remember correctly, Outback opened in Kennewick on March 11, 1997. For over the first year Outback was open, there was always and insane waiting line for people to get in and have dinner.

I started working there in July of 1997 and had a great time working there as a server and bartender. I have a lot of great memories from there. I made more friends while working there than I have anywhere else since then. Whenever I go down Canal Drive, I'm always remembering something crazy and stupid that we did.

Olive Garden

The OG is ok. My brother, however, loves going there. Apparently, he goes there with his friends quite a bit. I'll have to see what he recommends there and get back to you.

Applebees

The Applebees in Kennewick has been there for quite some time. I've had quite a few friends who've worked there. A friend or two still do. So far, the Bruchetta Burger is at the top of my list of favorites there.

Anthony's

I enjoy going to Anthony's. I usually go there with my parents when I come into town. I have a couple of friends who work there so it makes it even nicer when I get to pop in.

The food there is usually pretty good.

Mandarin House

The Mandarin House on Lee Boulevard in Richland is a hole. And it serves some awesome food. To be honest, I don't even know if its still open right now. I haven't been able to pop in and check it out.

I absolutely loved the Mongolian Beef and Egg Drop soup they served there. It is/was some of the best around.

Atomic Pub & Brewery

Really good pizza. Other than that, I haven't been there in quite some time. I will have to correct that.

Cedars

Cedars in downtown Kennewick is also another place I enjoy going to dinner with the folks. There are a number of dishes there that are top-notch. I really enjoy the clams and I love the Peppercorn Steak. I haven't been able to find a peppercorn sauce anywhere that compares to the one at Cedars.

P.F. Chang's

Haven't been to this particular location yet. If its like the one in Seattle, we should be in good shape.

Yummie Pho

Let me tell you about "not so yummie pho". I had been back in the Tri-Cities from Seattle on a little "minnie vacation" and saw that there were a number of Pho joints new in town.

I went to Yummie Pho first (I fell prey to their catchy marketing prowess) and ordered a bowl of beef pho.

First, there wasn't any "standard" beef dish. they had a beef dish that was mixed with sliced beef, meat balls, and other cuts of meat. Moving on, the broth was beyond watery AND they had zero concept of chilli oil and pepper flakes. To top it off, the chef apparently heard that I had asked for chilli oil and made it clear that I had offended him as he gave me the ol' stink eye as I cashed out and left.
