Seattle Restaurants
Downtown Seattle
Thai Ginger |
|
Thai Ginger is a Thai restaurant on the fourth floor of Pacific Place at the corner of 6th Avenue and Pine Street. I have to say, I love the Tom Ka. The only issue is that even when asking for 5 star heat, they only bring the 2 to 3 star heat.
So far, my favorite dishes are the spring rolls and Tom Ka as an appetizer and the Pad Thai and Garlic Chicken as the main entree. |

Gordon Biersch |
|
Gordon Biersch is an American restaurant located on the fourth floor of Pacific Place in Downtown Seattle. They serve all the traditional American fare such as burgers and pizzas. They also serve full dinner entrees such as steak, chicken, and pasta dishes.
The bar at Gordon Biersch tends to always be busy which is a good thing. The one thing I wish they would bring back to the menu is their Honey Mustard salad dressing because I know it would make someone out there happy. |

| New Vietnamese Restaurant |
|
The first time I visited this restaurant I was really jonesing for some pho and didn't want to go all the way over to World's Best to get some.
To be honest, after the first meal I was disappointed. The broth was just a little too watery. However, all of that has changed since and I really enjoy this place. Its not quite up to "World's Best" standards, but it is one of the best places for pho in Downtown Seattle.
This place is located on 3rd Avenue between Pike and Pine Streets. The people who run it are very polite and the service is above average. |
|
| Mexico |
|
| Mexico is a restaurant in Pacific Place in Downtown Seattle. They serve very good Mexican food. Even their tortilla chips are unique with their lime seasoning. More to come. |
|
| Joey's |
|
Joey's is a restaurant that puts a heavy emphasis on form over function. In the Seattle area, there is a restaurant in South Lake Union and a restaurant in Bellevue.
Over all, the food is really good. If you're looking for Canadian restaurant chain that serves American / Asion fusion food, this is your place. |

South Seattle
White Center Pho |
|
Commonly referred to as "World's Best Pho" by a select group of friends, White Center Pho serves up the most tender beef brisket pho in Seattle.
One part of the pho that sticks out is the broth. It isn't too watery. They also make sure every table has an ample supply of chili oil and pepper flakes. |
|
Pyramid Breweries |
|
This is a favorite destination for company lunch parties and when catching a Mariners Baseball game at Safeco Field.
The food at the Pyramid is "better than average" bar food. They have all the dishes you would expect to see as well as a few custom dishes. And of course, all the beer and wine you could imagine.
I definitely recommend this place. |

West Seattle
Pegasus Pizza On Alki |
|
The pizza at Pegasus On Alki is pretty good. Is there really any pizza that can be called bad pizza. Kind of reminds me of a joke I heard once.....
The Pegasus serves there pizza on a thin crust and have many custom pizzas on the menu. They also have a wide selection of toppings that many other pizza joints don't have.
I definitely recommend this place. |

The Best Neighborhood On The Planet - Lower Queen Anne
Peso's Kitchen |
|
Peso's is a Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood of Lower Queen Anne. In my opinion, the food is some of the best Mexican food in Seattle.
To boot, the atmosphere is always up tempo and busy. Even on a Saturday and Sunday morning, there is always a crowd for the excellent food served here.
This description will be updated as time goes on. |

| Floyd's Place |
|
Ahh, Floyd's Place. This was one of the bars I first visited when I moved to Seattle. In fact, the whole reason my roommate and I picked the neighborhood of Lower Queen Anne and our apartment was due to the proximity to Floyd's Place.
They serve some pretty good BBQ along with a 27 beers as well as a fully stocked bar. I don't think I've ever had a mediocre meal at Floyd's, its always been top notch. They offer the wide variety of meals that include beef, pork, and chicken. Their nachos are legendary and their fries are of the shoe string variety and are always tasty.
Floyds is a hot spot for before and after any event at the Key Arena. |
 |
| Sam's Sushi |
|
Sam's Sushi is a sushi restaurant located on Queen Anne Avenue between Mercer Street and Republican Street. Its in good company of other restaurants in Lower Queen Anne.
The sushi served at Sam's is quite good. They have the usual assortment of traditional Nigiri sushi as well as specialty rolls. The service is always fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. |
|
| Sushi Land |
|
Sushi Land is THE place when you need a quick sushi fix. I can go in there and knock out 3 plates of Spicy Tuna and 2 plates of Salmon Sashimi before the waitress can bring me my iced tea.
The converyor belt just keeps bringing little plates of goodness without fail. Sushi Land may be on the east side of Lower Queen and and not exactly at the top of mind when thinking about sushi, but it should be. |

The Rest Of Seattle & Beyond
Bills Off Broadway |
|
Ahhh. Bills Off Broadway serves up some great pizza. I am particularly fond of the personal pizza with pepperoni, garlic, and extra cheese.
The bar itself has a ton of character and is a fun place to go. I'm sure they serve other great food other than pizza, but I wouldn't know. Its all about the pizza. |
|
| Outback Steakhouse - South Lake Union |
|
| The Outback on South Lake Union is a good place. I think it's a little slower than other Outbacks I've been to. Most likely due to the location and the lack of parking in the area. |
